Swale - Kent Science Park

Based in the Thames Gateway, the Kent Science Park campus, one of the largest in the South East of England, offers over 500,000 sq ft (46,450 sq m) of high specification, purpose built accommodation to let, flexible enough to nurture the ambitious start-up, as well as to serve the expanding or mature technology company.

The Sustainable Industries Park within the Thames Gateway will be the UK’s largest concentration of environmental technology companie.  It plans to provide a national showcase for businesses delivering recycling and reprocessing facilitiets, waste-to-energy and combined heat and power schemes and renewable energy techniques.

The SIP will include an onsite centre of excellence in the Thames Gateway Institute of Sustainability, which will provide tenants with access to national and international networks and world class research teams to support their businesses.

SIP’s first tenant, Closed Loop London, offers recyclable plastic packaging solutions to clients such as Marks & Spencer and Nampak.  In 2008, it opened its first facility in the UK to produce both food grade recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and recycled high-density polyethylene (HDPE).

Located adjacent to the A13 dual carriageway, 10 miles away from central London and six miles from the M25 motorway, the SIP enjoys prominent position with good transport and infrastructure links.
