Stratford City
Stratford City, a major retail and transport hub within the Thames Gateway, is the proposed prime location for a new state-of-the-art shopping centre experience, due to start construction later in 2009.
The 70 hectare site for Stratford City is just to the east of the new Olympic Park and will be home to over 620,000 sq.m of commercial, hotel and leisure space and 150,000 sq.m of retail space.
The 150,000 sq.m retail area at Stratford City will hold a new Westfield shopping centre to rival Bluewater and is one of the most ambitious commercial developments within the Thames Gateway.
