Vanquis Bank
FTSE 100 Company, Provident Financial plc, opened its Vanquis Bank call centre at Chatham Maritime Business Park in Medway in 2004.
Vanquis Bank brings the benefits of credit cards, in a responsible way, to people who can find themselves excluded by mainstream card issuers, it specialises in credit cards for people with bad credit, and now employs over 450 people.
In 2008, the company decided to expand within Chatham Maritime, to a 34,000 sq ft headquarters building, creating another 150 jobs.
Vanessa Farmer, Head of Sales and Service, said: “The buildings at Chatham Maritime are of a very high standard, and were pleased to be able to expand here because we have been more than satisfied with the calibre of personnel we have recruited from the area.''
